Due to an administrative blunder by Romanby Golf Club we have had to move the venue for this years golf match.
The new venue will be Catterick Golf Club. We have been able to get a good price and the new cost will be £35.00.
We hope that this does not cause too much disruption and lets see you all there on the day.

Reference your 3rd cousin Private Joseph Mullally and the Irish Governments new Amnesty Bill to exonerate Joseph. While our generation is not responsible for past Irish government actions, at least this generation of Irish politicians is making an honorable attempt to rectify past political decisions. The Queen's visit to Dublin in May 2011 and the excellent reception given to her Majesty sent out a positive signal which broke down age old barriers and made it possible to put a campaign together and try to set the record straight re Joseph and those several thousand others who were dismissed. Yes 70 years is to little to late, but there were political obstacles which bedevilled British Irish relationships over the years and which would have made it very difficult for any Irish Government to act on the issue prior to May 2011. Her Majesty's visit to Ireland was a seismic positive event which made it possible for sensitive historical issues to be resolved in so far as practicable. The proposed Amnesty accompanied by an apology is a historical development and will hopefully remove the stigma attached to those who were blacklisted and be seen as an act of reconcilation by all concerned.

I am looking for photo(s) of the Yorkshire Reg't BAND circa late Victorian era 1890 - 1900.

I have two photos now but they are very poor copies & wouldlike to obtain better copies.
