On Sunday 18th March 2007 at Albert Park Middlesbrough, a service was held to bless the new Middlesbrough Branch Green Howards Memorial. The event was well attended by ex-Green Howards from all the surrounding areas. All those fit enough to march were mustered by the Parade Marshall (Hank Dolan) and march to the New Memorial. The parade was led by Major Charles Conway. Gathered around the memorial were more Green Howards, those unable to march, friends and families of the Howards. The Memorial was blessed by the Reverend Andrew Howard, the Last Post sounded and two minutes silence observed. After the parade those taking part were invited to the Royal British Legion for a well-deserved drink.
