RESCUED – SIGNED ORIGINAL DOCUMENT TO RECORD SPECIAL FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN DANISH LIFE REGIMENT AND 1ST BN GREEN HOWARDS

Thirty five years ago this month, this document was created and signed by Lt Col J B Scott Commanding Officer of 1st Bn and Colonel S J H Baron Wedell-Wedellsborg Commanding Officer of the Danish Life Regiment.  Three copies were made:

1.  To be held by the Lt Col of the 1st Bn Green Howards

2.  To be held by the Colonel of the Regiment

3.  To be held by the Colonel of the Danish Life Regiment

Each to be a reminder of a pledge to maintain special links and cooperation for future representatives from the two commands.

It was rescued from a recycling centre in Halstock Dorset and thanks to a vigilant Mrs Jean Brown the document was returned to us for safekeeping.
