Mr Jones shows off his Nijmegen Penant

We had a visit from Mr Trevor Jones at the Museum; one time LCpl Jones of C Company 1st Battalion Green Howards.  He was one of a team of 14 men from the 1st Bn headed by Capt R A Costain who successfully completed the Nijmegen International Four Day March 26th - 29th July 1955.

He brought us many photographs of his time with the Green Howards including a posting to Hong Kong in 1957.  He obviously to a liking to the warmer climate as he now lives in Cyprus and had the sun tan to prove it.
