FAREWELL TO BRIAN BEEKEN AND SERGIO ZAMBELLI

Brian and Sergio say goodbye

On Friday 20th August we bade farewell to Brian Beeken and Sergio Zambelli.  Brian has been the museum Shop Assistant for the past year and although he plans to continue to help out as a guide he leaves us for a more leisurely state of retirement.

Sergio has worked as the Shop Manager and as many will know he originally comes from Brazil.  He leaves us to return to his home counrty to take up a  job within his father's business looking after the sale of poultry.  A far cry from Green Howards memorabilia.

Staff and volunteers gathered to wish them both well for the future.  Brian and Sergio were presented with 'The Green Howards - A History in Photographs- 1855-2006' with a personal message from the Chairman of the Trustees.  Sergio was given a butchers apron and Brian a pair of hiking socks (he likes hill walking).
