THE OLDEST MAN ON PARADE

Peter Etherington has emailed this photograph. He writes,

"The attached photo shows the oldest man on parade ex-C/Sgt George (Chalky) White late 2nd Bn then 1st Bn. He is 86 years of age joining the Regiment at the end of WW2 in India. He served in Malaya and stations with 1st Bn then in South Arabia. He served in the Kenya police in the Mau Mau Campaign. Chalky is 3rd from the rear in the front file. He lives in Redditch and attends our annual events regularly."
