REDEVELOPMENT PLANS FOR THE MUSEUM - HAVE YOUR SAY
14th October 2011

The Trustees of the Green Howards museum are currently consulting on initial plans for the redevelopment of the museum. The Trustees feel that it is the right time to relook at how the collection is displayed to ensure that the museum continues to meet the needs of future users.

The plans for the museum can be seen by clicking on ‘view more pictures’.  The plans have been developed to give an idea about how the museum might look but they are very much initial ideas. The museum will still display the same number of objects and we aim not to lose anything about the museum that we know our visitors love.

We wish to ensure that everyone has the chance to comment on the plans and to help shape the future look of the museum.

Initially we are requesting that people complete our ON-LINE SURVEY.

We are also looking for people to join our museum development panel. If you would be interested in joining this panel please email the Director Lynda Powell director@greenhowards.org.uk .

The development is likely to cost £900,000 and will be funded through applications to funding bodies including the Heritage Lottery Fund and through our own fundraising efforts.

If you would like to make a contribution towards the redevelopment of the museum  please contact the Director Lynda Powell  01748 826561 or send your donation to Green Howards Museum, Trinity Church Sq, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL10 4QN
