50 GURKHAS HELP BOOST VISITOR NUMBERS TO RECORD HIGH FOR GREEN HOWARDS MUSEUM.

Ghurkhas visit Green Howards Museum

The museum has enjoyed bumper visitor numbers during its first month of 2009. In February we had 450 visitors compared with 216 last year. Among our visitors have been fifty Gurkha recruits who visited the museum as part of their induction programme. They visited in groups of ten and enjoyed a tour of the museum. They enjoyed all aspects of the museum but many commented that they found the medal room particularly fascinating
