Preview night at the museum on the 6th April was a triple celebration with the opening of the temporary exhibition, the book launch for A Breed Apart and DVD launch for the Green Howards. Richard Leake's new book 'A Breed Apart' is the story of two remarkable Green Howards, Second Lieutenant Donald Bell and Captain Archie White who were both winners of the Victoria Cross during World War I. We were delighted that five members of Second Lieutenant Donald Bell's family were able to attend the launch. Donald Bell played for Bradford Park Avenue before he enlisted in 1914 and we were also thrilled that members of Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC were able to attend the launch.
