Richmond Sunday 2009

Almost 300 Green Howard Association members attended Richmond Sunday. Eighteen GHA Branches were represented and fifteen standards were on parade. A contingent of B Company, 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment also joined the parade.

Following the church service and parade Major General Andrew Farquhar presented twenty gold badges and ten silver badges.  Members of B Company 4th Battalion were presented with Afghanistan and Iraq Campaign medals.

Gold badges were awarded Mr K Kidd, Mr K Roberts, Mr M White, Mr J M Hackett, Mr J G High, Mr S Longstaff, Mr F Bailey, Mr J Helliwell, Mr A Bellamy, Mr T Bennett, Mr E Casson, Mr P Geelan, Mr W K Coles, Mr G Brown,  Mr B Dinningan, Mr W Green, Mr T H Coulton and Mr J E Chapman.

Silver badges were awarded to Mr A Beal, Mr J H Dent, Mr M Worton, Mr D Wardel, Mr M Russell, Mr K Hawkins, Mr G Armstrong, Mr C J Malt, Mr E Britton and Mr K Beet.

Afghanistan Campaign Medals were awarded to WO2 Archer, Lt Thompson, Sgt Marshall, Cpl Priestly and L/Cpl McKinlay who was also awarded an Iraq Campaign medal.
