4TH JUNE ROYAL HOSPITAL CHELSEA FOUNDERS DAY ![]() Sgt Willy Walter, Maj (Retd) Bob Martin and Capt (Retd) Tom Wharton On a hot summer day in the Royal Hospital Chelsea a gathering of Green Howards took place. Once again invited to the Founders Day Parade by Green Howard in pensioner Sgt William "Willy" Walker. This years reviewing officer was Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra. After the parade all in pensioners and guests retired to a garden party in the grounds of the hospital. Later in the day we were visited by General Sir Richard and lady Dannatt. Among those present were, Major (Ret) Bob and Lynda Martin, Capt (Ret) Tom and Maxine Wharton, WO1 Robert Robson (Harrow School SSI), Yeoman Kenny McGrath and Sharron, WO2 Phil Hayes and Karen. In addition to the above Green Howards Moira Cameron The first and only Lady Yeoman Warder, Trevor Taylor Cheshire Regiment. To end a fantastic day the group (Less Gen Sir Richard and Lady Dannatt) finished the day of with dinner at the Union Jack Club. Tom Wharton
