The photographs on these pages come from the photograph albums maintained by
Corporal Frank Newton, who served with the Green Howards between 1955 - 1959.
Frank Newton joined as a National Service man. Sadly, Frank Newton died on 19
May 2005 following a heart attack. His widow has very generously donated Frank's
photograph albums to the Green Howards Museum, and a large number of the photos
from these albums are being shown on these pages.
Fortunately, many of the individuals in the photographs have been identified
by Frank, thus providing a marvellous picture of people and life in the regiment
at the time.
There are two pages of photos, - totalling 50 images. Although almost all of the photos have been given descriptions, there are at least four photos where we need YOUR help to identify the time, place, and the people. Please have a look at the photos, and if you feel you can provide any names or dates we will be delighted to hear from you.
